DigAlouge:
a dialogue between the digital and analog in ceramics

I am particularity interested in the representational possibilities of the impact of science
and technology. For the past year I have been combining the digital tools with
traditional techniques. I have constructed a 3-D printer for ceramics and am exploring
the visual possibilities this new technology offers. My interest lies in
manipulating the variables to create unreproducible objects.
I prefer an activate engagement in the entire process so that the hand is present in the machine.   This work is the result of combining digital tools with traditional techniques. These works are a hybridization of the digital, mechanical, and hand made.
